Esta série documental reúne os conteúdos da atividade intitulada "Arqua dos Provérbios" do Arquivo Municipal de Tavira. A “Arca dos Provérbios” pretende ser um repositório e um espaço de divulgação dos provérbios, memória coletiva, uma cultura transmitida de geração em geração, muito por via oral, mas também pela escrita.
Esta iniciativa resulta de uma parceria entre o Arquivo Municipal de Tavira e a Associação Internacional de Paremiologia desde 2017, que consistia na divulgação de provérbios na página de internet do Município, sendo que atualmente apenas são publicados os mais recentes.
